Jordan is the current Director for Human Resources of Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional society focused on LGBTQ people in the STEM community. With more than 75 student chapters at colleges and universities as well as professional chapters in cities across the United States and abroad, oSTEM is the largest chapter-based organization focused on LGBTQ people in STEM.
Jordan brings to the organization a decade of consulting experience having worked in both the private and public sectors. Throughout his tenure, Jordan has worked for the State of Michigan, American Express, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and General Motors.
In his current role with General Motors, Jordan is a critical member of the Global Talent Acquisition and Development team with responsibility for the strategy of Global Vehicle Engineering, Global Information Technology, as well as Quality and Operational Excellence for the North American operations. Beyond his immediate duties, Jordan serves as an advisor to the Executive Leadership Team as well as the Office of Global Diversity and Inclusion on internal and external relations to the LGBTQ and allied communities. Additionally, Jordan is the current Education and Training Chair for the General Motors LGBTQ Employee Resource Group (ERG), GM PLUS.
Beyond General Motors, Jordan is a founding member of the Michigan Rehabilitation Services Business Roundtable which advocates for collaboration among non-profit and for-profit organizations with the State of Michigan to offer employment assistance programs for persons who are differently abled. Additional engagements include support for the Ruth Ellis Center and Stand with Trans organization.
Jordan graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and will be pursuing his Executive Master’s in Organizational Development in the Fall of 2018.
